Steam hammer shop to the Great Western Railway Swindon Works. The workshop was situated in the north range of the northern courtyard which was constructed during the first phase of expansion of the railway works between 1845-47. The only surviving element of this building is the east gable wall. The rest of the building was demolished during reorganisation of the railway works in the 1960s.
