Haggerston Castle

Summary : Seat of the Haggerston family, rebuilt 1777 and altered in 1805. Rebuilt 1893-7 by Norman Shaw for Thomas Leyland. Restored after a fire in 1903 by JB Dunn of Edinburgh. Mostly demolished in 1933. The tower, with belvedere, and rotunda remain from the 1893-7 house.
