Summary : A two-storey gatehouse associated with the medieval Burneside Hall (SD 59 NW 1). A new south gable wall was erected post 1690. It is made from stone rubble and has a graduated greenslate roof. It has a round-headed archway with stone voussoirs and a two-leaved, oak, studded door with a dog gate and strap-hinges.
