Summary : A gateway dated 1595, with a coat-of-arms and a name on a 20th century facsimile panel over the entrance, after the gate was partly rebuilt in 1961. It is of tooled ashlar. The central entrance has continuous roll-moulding and a flattened, pointed head under a rectangular hoodmould. The core may be 14th century.

A yew tree fell on the gateway in 1961and brought down the whole superstructure. It was rebuilt, and during rebuilding the core was reported as being of 14th century date. (2)
