Summary : Five carved gritstone rocks situated at Bewerley. The carvings consist of a complex pattern of cups, rings and grooves.
More information : SE 161636 and SE 164635. A cup marked rock at SE 161
136 on the lower slope of Guyscliff (Guisecliff on OS 6"
1956) near Pateley Bridge was noticed by C. C. Gaunt in 1964.
Further investigation by Hartley and Feather revealed a total
of five cup and ring marked rocks in the area. Three had up to
30 cups, a few surrounded by complete or partial rings,
together with a number of additional grooves. One had a square
containing seven cups. (1-2)

A partially overgrown boulder bearing numerous single cups,
abutting a field boundary wall at SE 16086360, and a flat rock
with six cups within a square (see photograph), a cup and ring,
and several single cups at SE 16416356. (3)
