More information : [SD 90485736] TUMULUS [O.E.] (1) An I.A. Barrow, opened c.1890, contained a single skeleton buried with an iron spearhead. (2) Published survey (25") correct. An unditched, and turf-covered bowl barrow, 1m high, elongated by strip ploughing. The present whereabouts of the spearhead could not be ascertained. (3) Airton. Listed by Challis and Harding as possible first millennium BC Burial. (4)
