Medieval cross found in the ruins of a house at Whitefield, near Shaw. The farm and buildings belonged originally to the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem.

An ancient stone cross was found in the ruins of an
old house at Whitefield, near Shaw.

The farm and buildings here belonged originally to the Knights
Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem. The cross was probably
inserted in the building to commemorate this.
