More information : (SY 80158641) Tumulus (NR) (1) A bowl barrow. (2) A heather and bracken covered mound with a diameter of 9.0 metres, and a height of 1.0 metres. No sign of a berm, but traces of an unsurveyable ditch occur around the north and south quadrants. A slight depression exists in the top, and there is general small mutilations by rabbits. This bowl barrow is composed of earth and small flints; no surface finds were made during field investigation. (3) SY 80158641. Round barrow, possible ditched bowl, 25ft diameter and 4ft high, disturbed in the centre, situated on the flat top of a steep-sided knoll. (4) SY 802865 - SY 803863. Round barrows west of Blacknoll Hill. Scheduled. (see also SY 88 NW 9). (5) A bowl barrow at SY 80148640, generally as described and measured by Authority (3), though,like the knoll on which it stands, it has been considerably pitted by military activity.
