More information : At a meeting of the Society on March 31st, 1885, Mr G.C Yates exhibited: "A beautifully - worked flint arrow head, in perfect condition, and a flint scraper, found by him on a recent ramble over the moors, near Bacup. It was found in situ in a place from which about eight feet of turf had been taken." (1)
