Remains of a cairn containing parts of two cists side by side.
The westerly cist has two side stones upright, the other cist
has only its east side stone in place. (1)

Remains of cairn. Diameter 5.5m. The retaining circle can be traced for the greater part of its circuit and eleven stones were found. What must be the eastern most slab of the eastern cist still projects a little way above the turf which coveres the whole of the area contained by the retaining circle, but the other slabs mentioned by Mr Prowse are apparently buried now. General condition of he cairn is poor. Position correct as shown in the 6" field sheet. [SX 6073/6597]. (2)

(SX 60657397) Cairn Circle (NR). (3)

SX 60657395. The remains of a cairn at 358m. OD., in extremely
poor condition, so that apart from two stones on the west side
only the eastern half is visible. This has nine stones forming a
kerb approximating 5.5m. in diameter and 0.2m. high with a
narrow band of internal stones. The cists recorded by Prowse are
not now visible and are presumably silted up or completely
removed and dispersed.

Surveyed at 1:10 000 on MSD and at 1:2500 for AO Records. (4)

SX 60657395. The faint traces of this cairn circle are situated on a SE-facing slope on a slight, level shelf beneath a large granite outcrop. The area is covered by scattered earthfast boulders and the site lies under blanket peat and reed cover, the overflow from an adjacent marshy area.

The cairn is now visible as a short length of the east kerb, represented by an almost buried line of smallish boulders 0.1m high. These indicate a diameter of aabout 6.0m. A group of three randomly spaced upright stones each c. 0.15m wide and 0.16m high within the kerb may mark the position of one of the two cists (2).

The visual impact of the site is very poor.
