Middleton Hall, "an interesting example of a medieval manor house with an outer defensive wall", was built probably late in the 14th.c, with extensions and curtain-wall of 15th.c. and some later work. (See plan). It is of two storeys. (2)
"Behind the house there is a good-sized fish pond; the deer park was destroyed in 1640". (3)

Middleton Hall Farmhouse; probably late 14th century with early to mid-15th century extensions to east, 16th and 17th century alterations and 18th and 19th century extensions. Originally an H- plan hall house, the north (service) wing no longer exists. Grade 2*.
Outbuilding adjoining north-east angle of Middleton Hall and adjoining wall. Extension to north wing of Middleton Hall, now a separate outbuilding; early to mid-15th century. Grade 2*. Curtain wall to west and north-west and barn to north-west of Middleton Hall. The mid-15th century curtain wall runs approximately 36.5m north-south and approximately 14.5m east-west; approximately 5.5m high. The barn is 16th century with an extension to the east of c1850. Grade 2*.
Curtain wall to south-west of Middleton Hall. Part of the mid-15th century wall approximately 7m long. Grade 2*. (6)
