Summary : Two bowl barrows situated on the prominent upland ridge known as Broadbury. The southernmost barrow survives as a 26.8 metre diameter circular mound standing up to 1.3 metres high. The northernmost barrow survives as a circular mound with a diameter of 24.3 metres and it is 1.1 metre high. In each case the surrounding ditch, from which material to construct the mound was derived, survives as a buried feature netween 2.5 to 3 metres wide. Scheduled.
More information : (SX 47859591 and SX 47999581) Tumulus (NR) (Twice). (1) Two barrows, partially levelled, each 23 yards diameter and 2 1/2 ft high. (2) SX 47859591 : A bowl barrow 22.0m in diameter and 0.75m high. SX 47999581 : A flat topped bowl barrow, base diameter 29.0m, summit diameter 18.0m, height 1.0m. Both have been ploughed but are now under pasture. (3) No change except that the barrow at SX 47999581 has a slight central depression (not of recent origin). Resurveyed at 1:2500. (4)
