Burycourt, or Berry Court, is perhaps of 16th century origin,
standing on the outer side of the moat of Penhallam Manor
(SX 29 NW 3) and probably occupying the site of the seignorial
stables and outbuildings.

Degorie Wheare, scholar, historian and author of a life in Camden,is
said to have been born here circa 1573. (2-3)
