The present Grarigg Hall (NY SD57909757) is an 18th c. Farmhouse, though it has a 16th or early 17th c. barn. (2)
There are no visible remains of the manor house and its precise site cannot be established. (3)
Parson and White, writing in 1829 state that `the ancielt manor house was a strong old building, in a quadrangular form, adapted for defence more than for convenience'. Much of the lead and timber had been moved to Lowther. (4) |
