Summary : Horseshoe-shaped enclosure comprising a slight earthen bank with an external gutter. Relatively modern.
More information : Found during field investiation at NT 79380848, a horseshoe-shaped enclosure formed by a slight earthen bank with an external gutter. Its situation on an approximate 1 in 5 hill slope seems to preclude any practical use but it is quite clearly an artificial work. The relatively sharp profile of the bank suggests a recent origin. Surveyed at 6" scale. See photograph. (1) A relatively modern enclosure as described in report of 29 4 70. (2)
