| Summary : A stone sundial shaft, 3 ft 3 in high, resting on a square base of five steps; which may have been the steps of a cross, is situated on the west side of Whittington church on top of the motte (see SD57NE7). The shaft appears to have been made for the dial which is dated 1641, although the base is Mediaeval. |
