More information : (SW 755165) Cliff Castle (NR) (1) Carrack Luz, Lankidden. Univallate cliff castle of about 3 acres. Entrance in E of centre. (2-3) Univallate cliff castle. Ditch approximately 8' deep. Bank on inner side surviving to a height of 4 ft. Ditch rock cut in base. Modern entrance thro' the rampart probably corresponds with the ancient entrance. Under pasture. (4) SW 755165. A single bank up to 4.0m high with an outer ditch 0.5m deep across Lankidden promontory isolates an area of approximately one hectare. The rampart, 100.0m long, ends in the E on the edge of steep cliffs, but in the W the terminal has been destroyed by cliff erosion. A modern track crosses the rampart to the E of its centre, but this is clearly not an original entrance. The position of the entrance is not now apparent. DOE measurements erroneous.
