MONUMENT NO. 426274

DESCRIPTION + /

Iron Age coastal promontory fort cut off from the mainland by approximately 20 metres of bank 2.3 metres wide and 0.9 metres high and ditch 3 metres wide with a causewayed entrance near its northern end. Alternatively, it is suggested to be a defended landing point, as a flat expanse of rock near the waterline could have provided a suitable natural quay.
