More information : A wheel-head cross, which Langdon describes as "the most beautiful specimen of an elaborately decorated cross in Cornwall", originally stood in a field called "Chapel Close" in the Barton of Roseworthy. Baird notes that 'it was then almost certainly in situ' and that it was moved to its present position in Lanherne Convent, Mawgan-in-Pydar 'about one hundred years ago'. (1-2) Cross removed from either by the chapel (SW 63 NW 20) or the holy well (SW 63 NW 21) to Lanherne in the 18th century (See SW 86 NE 16 for details of cross). (3)
