THE GATEHOUSE

DESCRIPTION + /

A 13th-14th century outbuilding to the Archbishop's Palace at Maidstone. It is a two storey building constructed of stone rubble with a tiled roof. Despite its traditional name it is not actually a purpose built gatehouse in the true sense.
