MONUMENT NO. 415105

Site of a Roman corridor villa at the Mount, south of Maidstone Barracks and north of the railway station where part of the bank of the river fell in 1843 disclosing Roman masonry. Partly excavated in 1970 to 1971. Further excavation in 1992 revealed a mortared surface and part of a buttress.
