Summary : Denehole group.
More information : (Centred TQ 50597287) Deneholes (TI) (11) (1) Of the 11 deneholes shewn, 4 have been filled up, 6 have collapsed leaving shallow bowl-like depressions, and one is still open. Two more deneholes were found during the field investigation at the south end of the group, both collapsed. All are in private gardens. A.M. Corrected and additional deneholes surveyed. (For a general discussion on Deneholes, see TQ 57 SW 95 with accompanying Map Diagram). (2) Five collapsed deneholes in this group have recently been filled in leaving no traces. Published 1:1250 survey revised. (3) Discussion and plans of the deneholes at numbers 6, 8, 12, 16, 17 Baldwyns Park and one in the garden of a house in Dartford Road. (4) A 'new' denehole was discovered in the garden of 11 Dartford Road (approx. TQ 50647288) following heavey rain in August 1977. (5) Additional discussion of Baldwyns Park/Stankey Wood deneholes. (6)
