Summary : Mound in Kidbrooke Park surveyed in 1971, and found to have a diameter of 17.5 metres and a height of 6.4 metres. There was also a small circular top, 5 metres wide. No ditch or any other associated earthworks were identified. It is likely to be a belvedere, or a small motte.

A large conical earthen mound 6.4m high and 17.5m in diameter with a small circular top some 5.0m wide. There is no trace of a ditch or any other associated earthworks. It is situated some
50m E of the A22 north-south road, on the edge of a ridge, but not in a strong defensive position. Possibly a belvedere connected with Kidbrooke Park, but it could be a small motte.
