Summary : Medieval and later house, with a gate tower. The gatehouse and house is 1517-18 and late 17th century, rebuilding work of 1956 and 1967 in a similar Tudor style. The buildings are constructed in brown brick with diaper work to west (main) front. The gatehouse has a foot passage to the left. To the right is the five storey tower. Above the archway on the front to Chancery Lane is three stone panels with coats-of-arms and the date "1518" and a small stone panel beneath with the date "1693". The house and tower are located on the south west side of Chancery Lane, Camden. |
