More information : [SD 48961847] Town Br. [T.I.] (1) The bridge over the R. Yarrow in Croston, is on the north side of the church. "Its single arch has a span of 13 yards and the width between parapets is only 8 feet. The date 1682 is carved on the parapet." (2) 'Croston Town Bridge", Scheduled Ancient Monument. (3) The bridge, built of well-shaped blocks of stone, is as described by Authority 2. The date 1682 appears at the centre of the north-facing parapet. The stonework is generally in sound condition. The roadway is constructed of cobble stones. (4)
