More information : [Centred at TQ 1620 8440] Horsadun Hill [Horsenden]. There were traces still of this hill having been rudely fortified at a very remote period, and was doubtless a stronghold. A few pieces of coarse pottery as well as some flint flakes have been found near the top. (1)
"On the southern side of Horsendon Hill, slight traces of defensive works in two terraces may still be seen, like those made by ancient Britons". (2)
Hill top settlement with some evidence of defensive banks and ditches on south and west. IA pottery from the badly eroded western slope and from trial excavations in that area, which have also yielded a chariot lynch pin of the same date and mesolithic flint chippings. (3)
