Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow situated on the southern spur of Blackpatch Hill. First noted in the 1930s when it was recorded as being 9 paces diameter and flanked on N and S by nearly straight ditches running west -east. It is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950 and has subsequently been levelled by ploughing.
More information : (TQ 10040870) Bowl barrow 9 paces diameter flanked on N and S by nearly straight ditches, running W-E, found by Dr E Curwen. (1)

A bowl barrow, at TQ10010872, in arable land and gradually being
ploughed out. It is now 9.5m in diameter and 0.2m high. There is
no trace of the ditches. Divorced Survey at 1:2,500 (2)

The barrow described by the previous autorities is is situated on the southern spur of Blackpatch Hill at TQ 1002 0868. It is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950 but has subsequently been levelled by ploughing.(3)
