Summary : Site of circular moat, possibly a mill site.
More information : TM 26136753 Circular moat 54.0m in overall diameter with entrance across south side and an extension from southeast side 34.0m long. Average width of waterfilled ditch 14.0m. Field names associated with the feature; Moat Plantation and Mill Mount (see trace). (1) Vague circular cropmark visible on OS APs. (2) The feature appears to have been destroyed before 1904 (OS 25"). No features are now visible on the ground, which is level plough, and no tradition of the feature survives in the area. From the detail shown on the Tithe Map coupled with field names provided it is almost certain that this was a moated mill mound. (3)
