Summary : Alleged 13th century monastery at Wervestede.
More information : "Wherstead, Suffolk (TM 1540). In an old undated deed (-1225?) a monastery of Wervestede was united to the priory ... of SS Peter and Paul, Ipswich". Messent who gives similar information stated that "nothing has so far been discovered of any priory site" at Wherstead. (1-2)
