DESCRIPTION + /

An Augustinian Priory founded circa 1188 by Wimer the Chaplain, on land granted by Baldwin de Toeni's mother, Ada. It was probably for 4-5 canons, having 5 in 1381. It was dissolved in 1525. There are no extant remains, although some re-used Medieval stone can be seen in Dodnash Priory Farm. Considerable documentary evidence for the priory and its estates exists in the form of charters.
