Summary : A six-storeyed brick tower mill with two-storeyed granary built in 1864. It was in disuse 1940 and the machinery still intact in 1970 when it was restored.

Caston windmill, North Acre, is a black-tarred, brick
tower mill with a weather-boarded cap and sail frames, built
in 1864 for Edward Wyer. It was working until 1940 and restoration
work was commenced in 1970.(2,3)

The tower of this mill is now in a dangerous condition; the
house is in use as a farm store.(4)

Caston Mill, and granary abutting to the South. All of the machinery is intact. Grade II*.(5,6)
