Summary : Priory Farm is on the site of a Benedictine Priory. The priory was founded by a charter granted by Hubert de Monchesney to Abingdon in 1114. It was abandoned in circa 1160 when Abbot Walkelin removed the only two monks to Earl's Colne. There are no extant remains.

Priory Farmhouse; 16th century timber-framed building. Restored. Grade II. (2)

Edwardstone Benedictine Priory; founded 1114-15 and dissolved 1160. (3)

No structural remains of the priory are apparently incorporated into the farmhouse which is as described by Authority 2. (4)
