Moated mound. (2)

Mill Hill (name confirmed), not a homestead moat but a windmill mound, about 1.6m. high with a 18.0m diameter top, lying on level upland clay. The northern half of the mound is encircled by a strong waterfilled ditch, 18.0m wide by 3.2m. deep, but no continuation can be traced on the south side; the ditch ends are terminated deliberately.
