Likely Priory, of Benedictine nuns, founded in the 12th century, in 1313 it was a cell of Nunburnholme and when suppressed in 1537 consisted of two nuns and a novice. The east end of the chapel and parts of the buildings are incorporated in Seaton Hall. (2-3)
The only visible external remains of the Priory are part of the chapel. See photograph. The fish pond is in poor condition, and dry. Published survey (25") revised. (4)

Seton or Lekeley. Founded in the late 12th century, recorded as being a cell of Nunburnholme Priory in 1313. In 1356 St Leonard's Hospital at Lancaster was granted to the priory. Suppressed in c1537 the priory was restored during the rising of the North and finally suppressed in 1540. (6)
Seaton Hall with attached ruins. A 16th century house with adjacent ruins of a Benedictine Nunnery. Grade 2*. (7)
