Summary : Single unenclosed `ring groove' house, probably of late prehistoric date, surviving as an earthwork.
More information : NT 870120: A single unenclosed 'ring-groove' house,
situated in a commanding position to the west of the Barrow Burn
was discovered during fieldwalking in 1979.

Surveyed at 1:500.

(This site is possibly a duplicate of NT 81 SE 4). (1)

NT 8700 1202. Unenclosed round house 200m N of Barrow Cleugh.
Scheduled RSM No 25033. The house is visible as a narrow ditch
90cm wide and 20cm deep forming a circular enclosure 11m in diameter,
the remains of a prehistoric timber round house. (2)
