More information : (TL 19379848) Gateway (NR) (Remains of) (NAT) (1) The remains of a gate on the south boundary of the Palace grounds may be part of the "Redde Gates" mentioned in 1541. (2) TL 193984 Corner tower, possibly of 11th century Abbey walls, found during demolition work. It stood 4.5m. high and was constructed of rough dressed limestone. Only the face remained, much being incorporated in an adjacent structure. (3) Ground photograph of remains of Gateway. (4)
