SAWTRY JUDITH MANOR

Homestead moat and manor. The manor was granted to Judith, niece of William I, and passed to Sawtry Abbey sometime in the 13th or 14th centuries, seving as a grange. Excavations have revealed buildings and an earthwork complex around the site.
