ST PAULS CHURCH

DESCRIPTION + /

14th century and later, although a college of secular priests (minster) existed here before the Norman conquest, (TQ04NW59), and an Augustinian monastery seems to have been centred on the church, 1165-1180, before it was moved to Newnham. The nave, South aisle, central tower and transepts are 14th century, although the South door of the nave is late 13th century. The chancel and South chapel were rebuilt in the 15th century, when the vestry was added.
