ST MICHAELS CHURCH

Millbrook Church was granted by Nigel de Waste to St Alban's Abbey as a Benedictine cell circa 1097-1119. The cell was merged with Beadlow (TL13NW21) between 1140-6, the monks being translated there. The church is 13th-15th century with later 19th century reworkings by Butterfield, including much of window tracery. Plan of chancel, nave, North and South aisles, South porch and West tower.
