More information : TF 83503070 Round Barrow on Coxford Heath, "well preserved under bracken, stands to a height of circa 1.80m. the amount is 29.0m. in diameter with, on the north, east, and southeast, a ditch 2.0m. wide and outer bank, 1.0m.(max)high and 5.0m. wide. There is no trace of a ditch or outer bank on the west and south west." (1) A bracken covered bowl barrow with ditch and outer bank situated in undulating heathland at circa 61.0m OD. It attains a maximum height of 1.8m above the surrounding ditch and has a maximum overall diameter of 39.0m. The bank attains a maximum height of 0.9m but is levelled to the south-west. Although the barrow is large there is no evidence of a berm. No finds were made and the mound shows no evidence of excavation. Surveyed at 1:2500. AM originated and passed to ERO 2D. (2)
