Summary : Armour, swords and shields were found at Candlesby ante-1882. These were probably Saxon. A 6th century cruciform brooch was found at Candlesby ante-1934.
More information : A 6th cent. cruciform fibula, found at Candlesby but
find-spot and associations unknown, is in Lincoln Museum. (1)

The brooch is still in Lincoln Museum (Acc.268/08) and was
donated by F.W. Harness. (2)
