The Medieval settlement referred to by the previous authorities was seen as earthworks, around Wyham House and Church, and mapped from good quality air photographs. The features in the south east portion of the settlement have been ploughed flat and are now visible as cropmarks. The remains of tofts and crofts are visible, south of Wyham House, centred at TF 2785 9500. Hollow ways are visible, extending between the tofts and crofts, centred at TF 2770 9488 and TF 2775 9496. The remains of two buildings are visible in the tofts south of the southernmost hollow way. Both are visible as rectangular enclosures, measuring 10m by 5m, defined by low banks or earth covered walls. Another building is visible at the east end of the other hollow way, centred at TF 2781 9497. North and east of the church the system of tofts and crofts continues, centred at TF 2885 9512.
