Summary : Part of a Roman road and finds of Medieval and Roman pottery and a flint boring tool. Material from Saltworks was also found.
More information : Haconby: Part of a Roman road shows in fields by the
old railway and also on air photos. There is a scatter of
Medieval and Romano British pottery from the area, also one
flint boring tool. Saltern material was found over a wide area
beside the Car Dyke, but no pottery. (1)

Sited to TF 110253. (2)

The indicated site is under winter crop and only edge
perambulation was possible but nothing of interest was seen. (3)
