Summary : Parish church. 12th-15th century with 1861 restoration by Bellamy and Hardy. Squared ironstone rubble with ashlar dressings, concrete tiled roofs hidden behind parapets. Western tower, nave, north aisle, chancel, north chapel, south porch.
More information : [TF 08738751] Ch. [T.U.] (1) St Peter's Church, Middle Rasen, retains fine Norman to Perpendicular features in its own right. A second church, St Paul's, was pulled down in 1860 (sited on 6" at TF 09078943], and some of the fabric used in the considerable restoration of St Peters. (2) The church of St Peter is in normal use. There are no surface remains of St Paul's. (3) St Paul's Church in 1846 comprised a W tower, nave, chancel and S aisle, with evidence for a demolished N aisle and chapel on the N side of the chancel. (4)
