Burghley Almhouses (Lord Burghley's Hospital) Founded in 1597 on the site of the Medieval hospital of St John the Baptist and St Thomas the Martyr (TF 00 NW 17). There are some reused 12th century arches. Grade 2*. (4)

The hospital of St. John Baptist and St. Thomas the Martyr stood at the Northamptonshire end of Stamford Bridge, and was founded c. 1189. (10)

Traces of a 12th century foundation comprising part of a semi-circular, arch, buttress, and walling, remain on the riverside of Lord Burghley's Hospital. (12)
