Summary : Bradden House 17/18th century garden remains
More information : Garden remains (SP 645 483) immediately south west of Bradden House. A map of 1740 shows a garden of 17th or early 18th century form consisting of rectangular flower beds and plantations. A triangular wooded area was divided by seven intersecting walks. In 1803 this area was referred to as the Wilderness. At SP 6454 4827 a low circular mound 15m across may be an element of the early garden. (1)
