More information : Deserted medieval village at Addingrove SP 665113. Poor visual features. Period of desertion circa 1350-1450. (1-4) Excepting a well defined moat, SP 61 SE 9, there are only slight and amorphous remains indicative of desertion, in the pasture fields NE of the road. They are situated on the gentle NW slopes of a valley and are bounded by rig and furrow. The site is crossed by a deep winding hollow, perhaps a former course of the stream to the SE, which was possibly diverted to feed the moat. A very shallow, unsurveyable, hollow way may be traced for about 200.0m running NW-SE across the site. (5)
