More information : (SP 51330697) Keble College (Founded 1868) (NAT) (1) 1485 KEBLE COLLEGE 2. Founded in 1868 by public subscription as a memorial to Rev J. John Keble. Foundation stone laid 1868 and opened in 1870. Building went on until 1882, the chapel being consecrated in 1876. The whole to the single Gothic design of William Butterfield in his "Constructional polychromy" of variegated brick with Bath stone dressings. 1485 KEBLE COLLEGE The Front, or North Quadrangle SP 5107 SW 3/113 12.1.54 SP 5106 NW 5/113 2. On the North side is the Chapel to which in 1892 a small chapel was added on the South to the designs of J T Micklethwaite. On the South side is the Hall and Library. On the West are the Liddon Buildings. The North Range has an extension on the West built by Thomas Rayson 1956, and North of the Clock Tower 1966. Both are to the same style. 1485 KEBLE COLLEGE The Pusey, or South Quadrangle SP 5106 NW 5/113 12.1.54 2. Contains a clock tower, Bursary and rooms.
