The present house (named "Clattercote Priory") is well kept shewing extensive restorations of varying periods. The former chapel is now utilised as a farm store: it is bonded into the central 17th.cent.range and has modern fitments, an original double apex window in the south face has been blocked and a 17th.cent.3 light stone mullion and transomed window inserted (see photographs). Entirely tree surrounded a general photograph of this building is not possible.
The densely overgrown moat is weed and partly rubbish filled. It can only be traced to the south - as published, and was probably originally ornamental rather than defensive. Published survey (25") revised. See Ground Photographs. (4)
