Summary : Moat (rems. of)
More information : SO 259242. A moated site at Manor Farm reported by
N. Snell has been examined and surveyed by R.A. Chambers for the
Oxfordshire Archaeological Unit. The moat is three-sided with
a rectangular interior raised about 1 metre above the bottom
of the ditch. The NW side is demarcated by a hollow way. Beyond
the NE arm is a prominent external bank rising from 2 metres
above the bottom of the moat and delimiting the SW side of a
larger rectangular enclosure surrounded by smaller ditches, with
a mound in the E corner - perhaps a garden area. (1)

Scheduled as 'Moated Site at Manor Farm'. (2)

SP 259242 "Moated site at Manor Farm" is a scheduled Ancient Monument (Oxon No 255). (3)
